Hi, I’m Samantha! (she/they)
I graduated from DePaul University in 2022 with a Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I completed my clinical internship at a community mental health agency, as well as at an outpatient private practice. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including non-profit case management with the refugee population and within higher level of care facilities.
Who do I work with?
I work with teens (13+), young adults, and adults who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and depression, as well as with those who are struggling with identity development and life transitions. As someone who identifies as part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, I am passionate about providing affirming care to individuals who are also members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Alongside my work in private practice, I also work full time for an intensive outpatient program that specializes in providing care to individuals who are experiencing symptoms of complex anxiety and OCD. During my time working in this program, I have gained the skillset to aid both parents and children who are struggling with school refusal due to their mental health symptoms.
What approaches do I utilize?
I approach therapy from a strength's based and person-centered perspective. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). My work with clients incorporates my skillsets, while also allowing for the space to be tailored to each person’s specific needs.
